Building Thumbnail Images

Photo gallery sites and online catalogs make extensive use of thumbnail images - i.e. compact and, optionally, reduced resolution images - in lieu of a text description. Converting .JPEG/.JPG files to thumbnails is a trivial task for the Delphi programmer. The download at the bottom of this page provides the relevant code and a demonstration application for JPEG thumbnail conversions. The images can optionally be compressed and/or grayscaled.
